A Little About Me
I grew up in Jerusalem, Israel.
My first drawing was black crayon smeared over the entire page. My mom asked me what it was and I said,

"That's a chicken coop."
"Where are the chickens?" she asked.
I said, "They are all asleep and it's dark."
Since then I have been drawing, painting, sculpting and cutting paper constructions.

As a child, I loved making greeting cards for Mother's Day, birthdays and my parents' anniversary. I kept a diary where I wrote my thoughts, stories and secrets. The diary book had a lock and I wore the tiny key in a chain like a necklace so that my sisters couldn't open the book and peek at what I wrote.
I received a BFA with honor from Pratt Institute and MA in Art and Art Education from NYU.
I wore many hats as an artist, teacher, salesperson, and visual merchandiser.
Now I live in beautiful Larchmont, NY where I write and illustrate my stories.
Writing and illustrating children's books is a wonderful way for me to connect with my own childhood memories like the chicken coop drawing.
